The Magical Winterland & Christmas Village  FAQ’s

Entry to the event is free.  Individual costs are applicable for the event elements once inside.

Ride tokens can be purchased on the day.  Offers are only available when tokens are pre-booked online.

Yes, the event site is flat and suitable for pushchairs.  Step-free access is available for all areas.

Under 14s must be accompanied by an adult into the event.

Some rides have age and size restrictions which will be clearly signposted on the actual ride itself.

The Christmas Village offers something for all ages! With rides for children and family-friendly attractions for all ages, it’s a festive experience for every generation.

Please see the link for the directions to the centre, and follow signs for the Oasis and Orange car park areas. (You can’t miss it!)

Please note there are 9000 car parking spaces available (be mindful of heavy traffic at peak times).

For Parent and Child parking, please note that these are only available for families with Under 5’s and require a permit. You can receive your permit at any of our Customer Service desks.

In the event of extreme weather, particularly high winds, we may need to close certain rides, and this may happen quickly without prior notice.

You can either use your pre-purchased ride tokens on another day or request a refund.

Step-free access is available for all areas of the event. Some rides are subject to their own specific risk assessments so please speak to security, stewards or the operations team members onsite to understand accessibility. Our team are always on-hand to help and we are undertaking internal audits to make sure we are providing the best service to our guests. FAQ

Santa’s Magical Grotto FAQ’s

Ticket prices depend on date booked and range from £10.95 - £13.95 for children and £5.95 - £6.95 for adults. 

(Booking fees apply when booking online.)

Children under 1 year old are free with a paying adult and another child. If there is no other child in the booking, then the child under 1 will be considered a paying child, as this is the minimum requirement.

The experience is suitable to all age groups, however, those under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Children under 1 year old are free with a paying adult and another child, if there is no other child in the booking then the under 1 would be considered as a child which is the minimum requirement.

To get the most out of your experience and to ensure you don’t miss the start, we ask that you arrive at least 5 minutes before your chosen time slot (please allow for heavy traffic during peak times). The experience will last approximately 30 minutes. There are hot and cold drinks (both soft and alcoholic) and other refreshments available to purchase whilst you savour the atmosphere and relax before your adventure starts.

Yes, all aspects of the event are accessible.

We recommend pre-booking to avoid any disappointment as we anticipate sessions will book up quickly. We do accept cash and card payments on the day, however, this will be subject to availability.

Please check your email junk/spam folder. Don’t worry we can access your booking on the day if you have the booking reference number or the name of the person who made the booking.

If you still experience an issue, there is a live chat feature on the SeeTickets website whilst you are logged in and the team will be able to assist you.

There will be an age-appropriate gift for all child tickets. 

We do have an area for prams and pushchairs to be left. Please note, that any items left are at the owner’s risk.

Please bring your confirmation email with the QR code, either on your phone or hard copy if you prefer.

You’ll see Santa as part of a festive group experience, but your one-to-one meeting with him will be a personal and magical moment. Capture the memory with a professional photo, and explore a variety of festive memorabilia available to purchase on the day.

You are permitted to take your own pictures in certain parts of the experience however, no photographic equipment is permitted in the Santa Room.

The Santa’s Magical Grotto Experience is located within The Magical Winter Land, situated in the Orange Car Park.

There are over 9,000 free parking spaces around Meadowhall Shopping Centre and direct access via rail, road and tram.

Yes, the centre has disabled access and 350 disabled access spaces. There are self-drive scooters and wheelchairs available for your use. These can be pre-booked by calling the Meadowhall Careline on 0333 313 2000 before you arrive.

FAQ

Circus Cortex FAQ’s

Tickets can be purchased online or on the door. (This does not include wheelchairs spaces, as these need to be pre-booked due to very limited space.)

The doors open 30 minutes before the start of the performance. We advise you to arrive on time. Any late arrivals may be admitted at a suitable point during the performance.

Children under 2 years old are admitted free and do not require a ticket but must be seated on an adult’s knee.

Please note: Pushchairs and car seats are not permitted inside the Big Top due to fire safety regulations.

Everybody aged two and above requires a ticket to see the show.

We have a separate, ground-level entrance for wheelchair users.

We want everyone to be able to come and enjoy our show. If you need any assistance, we’re here to help. Please call the Box Office if you require help on the day, so we can make sure a member of our team is available to assist you.

Wheelchair spaces are limited and must be booked through the Box Office.

All wheelchair users are asked to book in advance and arrive at least 30 minutes before the show.

Unfortunately, we are not currently able to provide free tickets for carers. We do, however, offer a concession ticket, which allows OAPs (65 and over), registered disabled visitors, SEN, carers, and students to book tickets at the concession price. Please bring proof of entitlement with you when you visit.
